To our neighbors in

Del Mar

Last summer, we introduced a proposal for a resort that would provide public access for the first time to the 16 acres of land at the north end of town above Dog Beach.

Though our proposal was initially greeted with enthusiasm by so many of you, some folks in the community voiced concerns and noted changes they would like to see to our plan.

Del Mar is an incredibly special community, and we want to be sure our project is something its citizens will welcome. And that means addressing concerns.

We heard you. We listened. And we looked at the possibilities with fresh eyes: yours.

Over the past several months, we’ve conducted intensive outreach with neighbors and businesses across Del Mar. We’re grateful for the creative ideas and constructive feedback we received from the hundreds of people who’ve let us know what they’d like to see on our property.

We went back to the drawing board and believe the significantly revised plan we’re creating will be a welcome addition to the community — something everyone will appreciate and have the opportunity to enjoy.

We expect to have our plans finalized in the coming months and look forward to inviting you to learn more about the project, study the project’s environmental report and weigh in on design elements.

Thank you for your patience, your valuable input and for working with us to re-envision our project. We’ll see you soon!

Sincerely,
